We are offering two workshops with Mike Hernandez in 2024.
First, we have an Online workshop (TBA). This will be followed up with an in-person plein air workshop in October that will be held along the coast near Carmel, CA. Some students may choose to attend both. There are separate registration pages for each class.
In each workshop, Mike Hernandez will share his methods for tackling complex water and rock painting using gouache. Through demos and lectures, he will show you how to address every aspect of your work, from value, composition design, shape and color hierarchies, paint texture, brushwork, and more. These are great workshops for anyone interested in painting and who would like to learn how to capture a rich sense of natural lighting and color in their artwork.
